Management Team

Leonard Kao
CEO

Leonard is a seasoned executive with over 25 years experience in the electronics business specializing in product development, business development, manufacturing, sales and marketing. Leonard Kao joined Ubee in 2011 to lead the operations and product/project management team at headquarters, as well as the business operations in EMEA region. He was appointed CEO in November 2012. His product/application areas of expertise include military industrial, automotive, power modules, Analog IC, TV, RF PA and MCM packaging. Leonard also facilitated IPO’s for two companies: Ambit (which merged into Foxconn) in Taiwan, and MPS (MPWR:Nasdaq) in the US. He held executive positions at Ambit, MPS and Telegent. Leonard graduated from Taipei Institute of Technology with a degree in Electrical Engineering.

 

Nasir Kafai
Senior Vice President, Product Development and Management

Nasir Kafai has helped build UbeeAirWalk from the beginning to its unique position today as an innovative and technology-leading radio access network company. As Vice President of Product Management and Marketing he has defined and shaped the current UbeeAirWalk product line and tailored it to the needs of customers and the market. Nasir came to UbeeAirWalk with two decades of wireless industry experience including a VoIP softswitch product management role for Xybridge Technologies, which was acquired by Zhone Technologies. He also played a lead role in the development and deployment of Nortel Networks’ first CDMA system. Nasir is active in the CDMA Development Group (CDG) and Femto Forum, and has a BS degree in electrical engineering from Louisiana State University and masters degrees in engineering management from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

 

Chris Osborn
Chief Technology Officer

Since 2003, Chris Osborn has guided the product development strategy for UbeeAirWalk, shaped the company’s long-term technology plans, and led research and development for UbeeAirWalk’s product line. He closely tracks the advance of technology and the wireless market to assure UbeeAirWalk products meet evolving customer needs. Chris brought some 25 years of wireless management, operational, and design experience to UbeeAirWalk, including directing the strategic marketing for Motorola Asia-Pacific and developing IS-95 CDMA base station products. He is a regular speaker at industry events and is active in wireless industry organizations. He has a degree from the University of Waterloo in Canada and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.
